LEARNING EVIDENCE 3 - CAUSES AND RESPONSES TO STRESS
It is possible that at times you feel like you are about to get stressed and you don't know what to do; If this is your case, you are in the right place, because we are going to teach you a few strategies to prevent and manage stress.😄😄😄😄😄😄
EXERCISES TO PREVENT STRESS
Do exercise.
Doing physical
activities every day is the best and easiest way to prevent stress. When you
exercise, your brain releases chemicals that make you feel good. Do something
you enjoy, whether it's walking, biking, playing softball, swimming, or dancing.
Do something you enjoy.
Doing something you enjoy can be something as simple as reading a good book, listening to music, watching a favorite movie or going out to dinner with a friend, starting a new hobby or class. Trying to do one of these things can improve your lifestyle.
Get enough sleep.
Getting enough rest at night can help you think more clearly and have more energy. This will make it easier to handle any problems or situations that may arise. Try to sleep between 7 and 9 hours every night to be able to respond well to the different situations that arise every day.
EXERCISES ON STRESS MANAGEMENT
To manage stress, the body may respond by becoming tense, which can cause pain. By learning to relax your muscles, you can reduce muscle tension and anxiety. Progressive muscle relaxation is an exercise that can help reduce stress.
Take slow, deep breaths.
One of the simplest ways to relax is by practicing deep breathing; This can be done anywhere, you can sit or lie down, placing one hand on your stomach and the other on your heart; These breathing exercises can help you relax, because they make the body feel relaxed. Deep breathing is one of the best ways to reduce stress in the body.
Take a warm immersion bath.
A 20-minute hot bath with the temperature above 40ºC effectively reduces the levels of cortisol in the blood, the hormone we generate when we are stressed; You can also use aromas of lavender, sage, etc… this helps free your mind from everything.
Listen to calming music.
Music with soft, slow and constant rhythms are ideal for relaxing brain activity, inducing a trance state similar to meditation. The muscles also relax, creating a feeling of relief while you release all the stress. As a consequence, relaxing music helps you sleep, it also distracts you from worries and little by little eliminates frustrations, giving way to a pleasant feeling in the body and mind.
No matter who you are or what you do or how happy you think you are, there will always be some days when you feel like the stress is getting the better of you.
After all, stress is a part of life, it's something we all face at some point. But that doesn't mean it's easy! Stress can be overwhelming, and when we deal with it, we may find it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
